The largest town on Connecticut's Gold Coast, Greenwich is the southernmost and western most municipality in the state. Roughly sixty minutes by train from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, Greenwich is home to many hedge funds and other financial service firms.
In 2005, CNN/Money and Money Magazine ranked Greenwich 12th on the list of "100 Best Places to Live in the United States" and there is no question as to why. The close proximity to New York City is a huge draw, but Greenwich has it's own allure. Settled in 1640, the town is packed with history and there are 34 sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including Greenwich Town Hall. Greenwich is also a fan of the arts, hosting the Greenwich International Film Festival every June. Exhibiting a humid continental climate and offering hundreds of things to see and do, Greenwich continually draws new residents to the area.
