The designation is earned by demonstrating a high level of expertise regarding the products, accessories, installation and servicing methods associated with residential door systems and operators.

Accreditation is available to companies who sell, service and install overhead doors and access systems. Applicants must complete a six-part study course and pass six written examinations covering all aspects of the residential door and access systems industry.
